The Brock Fraser Leadership Award
Honoring a Force for the Community
Christian Brock Fraser (1986–2023) was more than a dedicated educator and a fierce athlete; he was a catalyst for change. Known for his heart, grittiness, and leadership on and off the field, Brock spent his life empowering youth.
As a teacher, coach, and member of the Black Educators Association, Brock championed cultural representation. He was deeply passionate about developing culturally relevant curriculums that integrated Mi’kmaq and African Nova Scotian historical practices into high school education. He lived the exact values that Lucrative Apparel stands for: respect, equity, and community impact.
Funding the Future.
To honor Brock’s relentless drive and his commitment to elevating the next generation, we established the Brock Fraser Leadership Award. Funded directly by community donations and proceeds from Lucrative Apparel merch sales, this initiative provides financial support to youth who are stepping up to build their own legacies through education.
Annually, the fund awards scholarships to:
- Two Mi'kmaq students
- Two African Nova Scotian students
We don’t just remember the past; we fund the leaders of tomorrow.
By investing in these students, we ensure that Brock’s dedication to cultural equity and community empowerment continues to move the world forward.
